Felipe is the Design Director and co-founder of Space Collective. He takes a strategic design lead, working at the early stages to develop the concept through hand sketching with the team, and carefully honing design solutions to respond to the specific requirements of the brief.

Felipe’s bold conceptual thinking is coupled with a considered approach to the physical context of every given site. Each project is approached with no preconceived ideas, where concepts are rigorously tested and balanced against economic constraints and market demands.

Felipe reviews all design work at key project stages, guiding the direction of travel as the project is implemented so that the conceptual logic of the design is carried through into the completed architecture.

Felipe has taught at the University of Western Australia and been a critic at several leading schools of design. He believes in open dialogue and critical debate, encouraging the broader practice to take ownership of projects and develop their own ideas.
