Jual is located in an eclectic area that has served many diverse functions over time. It is defined by its strong connections to surrounding green spaces, delivering a variety of quality places to enjoy and move through—establishing a seamless link between the parkland precinct and the heritage precinct. Our proposal for Jual seeks to build on this urban connectivity. Inspired by the existing architecture of the area, Jual aspires to make a meaningful contribution to the local neighbourhood by striking the perfect balance between historical context and natural greenery. The proposed material palette celebrates the site’s rich history while integrating moments of green throughout the built form, creating a park-like experience for residents within a bustling urban environment. Designed with sensitivity to the western sun, Jual offers a thoughtful transition between indoor and outdoor spaces, promoting comfort and liveability
