Space Collective Architects were engaged by a private client to reimagine one of Perth’s premier beachfront sites as a new, opulent mixed-use development. The project presented us with a unique opportunity to provide 8 luxurious apartments integrated above a new, tailor-made restaurant space on the ground floor.

Primarily, our challenge was to deliver a dynamic design response which would fully comply with the rigid local planning frameworks.

Soft curvatures and carved forms were inspired by local coastal limestone formations. A bespoke, hand-assembled mosaic tile system has been proposed for the external cladding to provide a subtly textured, layered façade standing in contrast to the sleek, contemporary metal detailing.
